Why We Started All Good Pups

All Good Pups began not as a business idea, but as a search for relief.

Our Golden Retriever had an itch she couldn’t shake, but couldn’t stop scratching, either. The paw chewing, the constant licking, the endless head shaking (hers and ours). Her vet suggested anti-itch injections. They helped, for a while. But the relief was temporary, and the cause remained a mystery.

What We Tried

Elimination diets, probiotics, even a premium fresh-food plan. (She loves her fresh food, though). Nothing stopped the itching. Her paws grew red and raw.

Eventually, we found a canine dermatologist who ran an environmental allergy test. The results? She was allergic to nearly everything — from the dust mites in our home to the grass she loved to roll in. 

What We Learned

We learned something crucial along the way: dogs don’t breathe in allergens — they absorb them through their skin. The best defense is removing those allergens thoroughly and regularly.

Environmental allergies can’t be cured — they have to be managed. And while there’s no magic fix, there is something that helps: a gentle, effective shampoo that truly makes a difference.
